How long does a reply take?▼
Usually a day or two on working days. Anything that needs checking on the ground can take longer, because we would rather answer late than answer wrong.
What is the most useful message to send?▼
A correction. Prices, ferry times, opening hours and access rules on Zanzibar change without notice, and the people who tell us are almost always visitors who were standing there last week. Say which page, and what you actually saw.
Do you sell trips or take bookings?▼
No. This is an editorial guide. When a tour or a hotel is genuinely the easier option we link to a booking platform and earn a commission at no cost to you. We do not organise anything ourselves and we do not resell.
Can I propose a partnership?▼
Yes. Pick 'Working together' in the form and describe your business, your audience and what you have in mind. We read every serious message.
Are you an official Zanzibar body?▼
No. This is an independent guide with no link to any Tanzanian or Zanzibari authority. For visas, residence or investment, use the government portals: immigration.go.tz and zipa.go.tz.
What happens to my details?▼
They are used to reply to you and nothing else. There is no newsletter and no mailing list on this site. The privacy policy has the detail.
